To commemorate America's rich naval and maritime heritage through the preservation and exhibition of historic naval vessels with an emphasis on the era of World War II through the present.
Scrapbook of LCDR Ken Brown - 1966 - 1968 - Life at Sea - Highline Transfer with USS Ozbourn (DD-846)
Highline transfers were used to move men and supplies between two ships while at sea. Normally done with a specialized supply ship, these photographs show the "Can Do" spirit of the US Submarine Service.
Many of these photographs are on display in the museum, and all items have been scanned and are available in electronic format for review by researchers upon request.
